The Moon

Silent watcher of the night,

Bathed in cool and silver light,

You drift across the star-kissed skies,

A quiet, constant, pale surprise.

Glimmering on fields below,

In rivers, lakes, you softly glow.

Guiding lost and wandering souls,

Filling up their empty bowls.

You change and shift, yet stay the same,

A ghostly dance, a timeless game.

New and full, then dimmed once more,

A cycle endless to the core.

Lover’s muse and sailor’s guide,

Tugging hearts like ocean’s tide.

Silent keeper of dreams and lore,

Mysterious moon, forevermore.
